GoS Devlog #4 - New boosts = New problems


Hello everyone, this is the fourth devlog of my game about space travel.

3 boosts were added to the game, but I don't want to spoil and say what they improve. But with this innovation, a balance problem appeared. At some point, the player will become so strong that he will be able to complete missions without losses even without straining himself - and this is bad for the overall experience. The game should be difficult for the player to enjoy winning.


So in the next post we will talk about how I implemented the game balance, adjusted in each mission and talk about the principles by which it was calibrated. I honestly don't know about these principles myself, so I will have to learn a little, but you can also tell about it in the comments.
